Hannah’s Cafe is a lovely cafe just a couple of blocks from my apartment in Amsterdam West. I’m always looking for places I can take my two young boys in, and Hannah’s does not disappoint. The owner is really friendly, and the food is delicious! I did a branding photoshoot for them last month, and I’m looking for an excuse to go back.
Kid Friendly Cafe in Amsterdam West
Before we even talk about the menu, I know you want to know about the high-chair situation. And the answer is yes! (I have photo-proof for you!) Laura, the owner, told me that they have as many as four highchairs. In addition, they have a little table and chair set for the more independent toddler, as well as toys for babies and games for older children. If you walk in and don’t see the children’s area, walk all the way to the back of the cafe. There’s a second room with a kitchen window that’s nice and quiet, beautifully decorated, and even features a piano. If you’re bringing a stroller, you’ll be pleased to know that the cafe is on the ground floor and near a trolly stop.

Carrot Cake
During my branding photoshoot with Hannah’s Cafe in Amsterdam West, they offered me some dishes to taste and photograph. The carrot cake by far was my favorite, and I actually didn’t get to finish it because my four-year-old has been begging me for carrot cake (why do kids get a specific thing in their head and get really obsessed with it? My guess is this came from Peppa Pig…) But anyway, I asked them to wrap up the rest of the carrot cake so I could take it to him, and he loved it.
