I'm Sim, an Amsterdam maternity photographer. With years of experience both behind the camera and in my own motherhood journey, I photograph maternity sessions both indoors and outside for moms who want to capture this season beautifully and naturally without it feeling stiff or too posed.
Pregnancy is a wild ride. Sometimes you feel bloated and unsure, sometimes you feel sexy and powerful. But I'm here for all of it, the little moments between you and your partner, the curiosity of your older children with your belly, the excitement in the countdown until baby's arrival, and your personal strength as you navigate your own motherhood journey.

Why Choose Me as Your Maternity Photographer?
Having been pregnant twice myself, I know how it feels. You've been dreaming of this growing belly for years, and the reality of it is sometimes less comfortable and romantic than you imaged. There's less time frolicking through fields in gorgeous maternity clothes and more shuffling to the bathroom in your husband's old t-shirt at 5am than you'd like to admit. There's birth classes and maternity leave and signing up for daycare before baby is even born, and suddenly you're holding a lot more than the baby in your belly.
Part of my job as your maternity photographer is to take something off your plate so you can enjoy the beauty of this season. I walk you through the photoshoot process, locations, outfits, everything, so that the planning is as easy as possible for you, so you can just show up and have a space for the beauty and magic of this season.
faq about your maternity shoot
When is the best time to book my maternity session?
I recommend reaching out between 12 and 20 weeks, so we can aim to photograph around 24 to 32 weeks, when your belly is most likely to be prominent and you are still likely to be fairly comfortable.
What do I wear for my maternity shoot?
Specifically maternity clothing can be hit or miss. I can help you style outfits you love to fit your vision for your session. I don't limit the number of outfits you choose either, that's crazy talk!
How long is a maternity session?
I don't put time limits on my sessions (except for tulip sessions). A maternity photoshoot can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours (usually if you're bringing older children) to get the images you want in multiple locations
Are grandparents, older siblings, and pets allowed?
Yes, yes, and yes! These are YOUR photos, bring whoever YOU want! The little details of your loved ones interacting with you and your bump are precious memories that I want to document.
How much does a maternity shoot cost?
My price for all of my full sessions are €550 total. I also have a Maternity + Newborn Bundle that is priced at €850 for the two full sessions, and a lot of my clients opt for this package.
Do you travel to other cities in the Netherlands?
Yes! I frequently travel to Utrecht, Haarlem, The Hague, Leiden, and more! I do charge a reasonable travel fee depending on the distance and travel time.

Maternity + Newborn Bundle
My Maternity & Newborn Photoshoot Bundle is a great option for families who want to capture this season of life in an authentic and relaxed way.
We schedule your maternity session now and then wait and see how you're feeling when baby arrives and schedule the newborn session then. Some parents are ready to do the newborn session immediately and some want to wait a few more weeks. Both are totally okay with me.
The Bundle comes with both full galleries, 50+ images each, personal styling, and use of my Client Closet. And of course, the whole family is welcome to be in both sets of photos. I treat each session as a Family session with an emphasis on Maternity/Newborn.
In the end, your images will tell a cohesive story, meaning you can hang your maternity and newborn images together on the same wall or print them in the same heirloom album.
