Sim did a wonderful job of making me comfortable in our maternity session, she offered different lighting choices and poses and made the time fly by, and I usually feel awkward with these things but she made it a positive experience. Not only that, but it was my sons birthday in heaven on the day of the session and she asked me to bring items for the pictures to honor him in a special way. That meant more than anything to me and showed me the type of kind person she is and I hope if anyone needs that kind of person in their life they will find her as well. Please reach out to reserve your session when you're 20 weeks pregnant to ensure you have a place on my calendar. 

When is the best time to book my newborn session?

I aim to photograph your newborn around 1-3 weeks old. However, older newborns are definitely allowed! It can be so hard to get dressed up  and out of the house in those first weeks. Rest assured, we can get good photos of an older newborn. 

when do we schedule the newborn session?

I send you a style guide the moment you book with plenty ideas on how to dress you, your baby, and your partner! You're welcome to use any of my Client Closet dresses.

What do we wear?

Everyone in the family is allowed! Bring grandparents if you like! Photography is a luxury, and I'm not going to tell you that only certain family members are allowed to participate.

Are older siblings allowed?

Newborns cry. We're not on a schedule, so you have plenty of time to let baby nurse and fall back asleep before we continue. 

What if baby is crying?

I don't put time limits on my sessions, but newborn sessions by far take the longest because we stop and give baby breaks to nurse as they need. Generally, they last up to three hours.
